High Doses of Vitamin E Trigger Cancer

Vitamin E is one vitamin that plays an important role in the body to prevent aging. However, when consumed in high doses, these vitamin is thought to increase the risk of lung cancer, reported by a research that was published in early of February 2010.
Research in the United States involving 77 thousand participants indicated that consuming 400 milligrams per day over a long period can increase cancer risk to 28 percents, especially among smokers.
Research results published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine also provides a reminder of the threat of a similar, beta-carotene when consumed in excess.
Researchers recommend intake of vitamin E should not be derived from synthetic drugs. To get the best benefits, vitamin E should be obtained from natural sources such as fruits and vegetables.
Dr. Tim Byers of the University of Colorado said, balanced and healthy diet are created by the benefits of nutrients and minerals in a wide range, to help avoid the risk of cancer.
In his research, researchers monitor the intake per day of vitamin C, folic acid and vitamin E, and participants aged 50 to 76 for four years. Throughout the study, 521 participants have registered lung cancer.
Smoking habits, family history of disease and age were factors that were predicted closely related to the cancer cases. Meanwhile, the use of vitamin C and folic acid does not affect it, another case with vitamin E.
After calculating and analyzing data for about eight years, researchers concluded the risk increased by 7 percents extra for every 100 milligrams of vitamin E which consumed per day.
Benefits of vitamin E is widely known as an antioxidant that can protect cells from free radicals and molecules. However, the researchers speculate in the U.S., in high doses, vitamin E can actually be pro-oxidant, causing oxidation that may trigger damage to the cells.
“ the reverse from the assumptions behind the many benefits of vitamin E, vitamin intake which associated with supplements, as risk of lung cancer. Future research may focus on other components of fruits and vegetables that may explain the decrease in cancer risk associated with fruit and vegetables,” said Dr. Christopher Slatore from the University of Washington who led this research.
While such a research in Finland, involving 29 thousand smokers, men who consume beta carotene - which could be converted into vitamin A in the body - the state at 18 percent increased risk of lung cancer.

Be Sound of Sleep..

Have you ever feel fussy and dizzy? Maybe it was due to lack of sleep. Do not ever take for granted this! Lack of sleep can affect the sexual life, memory, health, appearance, and even make your body "stretch".

Here are 10 surprising things that happen due to lack of sleep:

1. Accident
Lack of sleep is one of the biggest disasters in the history of other nuclear accident at Three Mile Island in 1979, the biggest oil spill Exxon Valdez, Chernobyl nuclear crisis in 1986, and others.

Sounds excessive, but you should be aware of the lack of sleep also affects your safety every day on the road. Drowsiness can slow the time you are driving, the equivalent when you are drunk while driving.

A study conducted Safety Board The National Highway Traffic Americans shows that fatigue is a cause 100,000 car accidents and 1,500 deaths a year in the U.S.. The victim under the age of 25 years.

The same study showed that, if you lack sleep or have a low sleep quality, then it can cause accidents and injuries at work. In one study, workers who complained of excessive sleepiness during the day while working and injured vulnerable continually suffered the same accident while working.

2. Decreased concentration
Good sleep plays an important role in thinking and learning. Lack of sleep can affect many things. First, affect alertness, concentration, reasoning, and solving problems. This makes learning difficult and inefficient. Second, the cycle of sleep at night play a role in "strengthening" of memory in the mind. If you do not get enough sleep, so you will not be able to remember what you learned and experienced during the day.

3. Serious health problems
Sleep disorders and chronic sleep deprivation can bring your level of risk:

* Heart disease
* Heart attack
* Heart Failure
* Irregular heart rate
* High blood pressure
* Stroke
* Diabetes

According to some studies, 90 percent of people with insomnia, sleep disorder characterized by difficulty sleeping and waking up all night, also have similar health risks.

4. Decreased sex drive
The experts reported that poor sleep in men and women reduce the level of libido and boost sexual intercourse. This is due to depleted energy, drowsiness, and rising tension.

For men who suffer from sleep apnea (breathing problems that interfere with sleep) sleep deprivation causes sexual desire doldrums. A study published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism in 2002 showed that almost all people who suffer from sleep apnea have lower levels of testosterone. Nearly half of those who suffer from severe sleep apnea have a low testosterone level at night.

5. Cause depression
In the 1997 study, researchers from the University of Pennsylvania reported that people who sleep less than 5 hours per day for seven days cause stress, anger, sadness, and mental fatigue. In addition, lack of sleep and sleep disorders can cause symptoms of depression.

The most common sleep disorder is insomnia, which has a strong relationship with depression. In a study in 2007 involving 10,000 people revealed that people with insomnia to 5 times more susceptible to depression. In fact, insomnia is often one of the first symptoms of depression.

Insomnia and appetite due to depression are related. Sleep deprivation worsen the symptoms of depression and depression makes you more difficult to sleep. The plus side, a good sleep pattern can help treat depression.

6. Affect skin health
Most people who have pale skin and black eye after a night of little sleep. This condition is true because of chronic sleep deprivation can lead to dull skin, fine lines o
n face, and dark circles under the eyes.

If you are not getting enough sleep, your body release more stress hormones or cortisol. In excessive amounts, cortisol can break down collagen or proteins that make skin silky smooth and elastic.

Lack of sleep also can cause the body to produce less growth hormone. When we were young, human growth hormone growth. In this case, the hormone that helps increase muscle mass, skin thicken, and strengthen bones.

"This occurs when the body is sleeping soundly, which we call" slow wave sleep (SWS)-growth hormone is released, "said Phil Gehrman, PhD, CBSM, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Clinical Director of Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

7. Forgetful
Do not want to forget the best memories in your life? Try sleeping
good. In 2009, researchers from the United States and France found that brain events are called sharp wave ripples are responsible for strengthening the memory in the brain. This event also transfer information from the hippocampus to neocortex in the brain, where long-term memory storage. Sharp wave ripples occur mostly during sleep.

8. Body to be "
stretch"
If you ignore the effects of sleep deprivation, so be prepared with the threat of being overweight. Lack of sleep is associated with increased hunger and appetite, and possibly could be obese.
According to a 2004 study, nearly 30 percent of those who slept less than six hours a day tend to be fatter than those who slept seven to nine hours a day.

Recent research focused on the relationship between sleep and peptides that regulate appetite. Ghrelin stimulates hunger and leptin to signal satiety to the brain and stimulating appetite. Short sleep time is associated with decreased leptin and increased ghrelin.

Lack of sleep not only stimulates the appetite. It also stimulates the desire to eat fatty foods and foods high in carbohydrates. The ongoing research is conducted to investigate whether sleep is eligible to be a standard part of a weight loss program.

9. Increased risk of death
In the Whitehall study-2, British researchers discovered how sleep patterns affect the mortality rate of more than 10,000 British civil servants over the past two decades. According to the research that was published in 2007, those who sleep less than 5-7 hours a day increases the risk of death due to various factors. Even the lack of sleep increased two-fold risk of death from cardiovascular disease.

10. Destructive evaluation, especially regarding sleep
Lack of sleep can affect the interpretation of events. The body is weak
so we can not judge a situation accurately and wisely. In the faster-paced world of today, sleep habits become a kind of badge of honor. Specialists on the bed said, You are wrong if you think okay despite the lack of sleep because no matter where you work in any profession, will be a big problem if you can not judge something better.

"Studies show that over time, those who slept for 6 hours, not 7 or 8 hours a day, began to feel that they have adapted to the lack of sleep. They're used to it," says Gehrman.

"But if you see the results of tests of mental alertness and performance, their value continues to deteriorate. It explains how lack of sleep affect our daily activities."

Prevent Breast Cancer With Papaya..

Papaya (Carica papaya) is a versatile plant. The fruit contains high antioxidants. These include vitamin C, flavonoids, folate, vitamin A, panthotenic acid, mineral, magnesium, vitamin E, potassium, fiber, and vitamin B. The fruit contains an enzyme that can prevent breast cancer cell growth. The leaves and roots can be used to solve a variety of diseases.
Papaya fruit contains a variety of enzymes, vitamins, and minerals.Vitamin A content of papaya more than carrots and more vitamin C than orange. It is also rich in vitamin B complex & vitamin E.
"The protein in the papaya fruit is not too high. Just 4-6 grams per kg of fruit. But small amounts are almost entirely digested and absorbed by the body. This is because the enzyme papain in the papaya fruit is able to digest nutrients as much as 35 times greater than its own size, " said Dr Diana of the European Slimming Centre.
Papaya contains papain. These enzyme is very active and able to accelerating the process of protein digestion. These enzymes can break down foods that contain protein to form various amino acid compounds that are autointoxicaing or automatically eliminate the unwanted formation of the substance due to incomplete digestion. "High blood pressure, constipation, arthritis, epilepsy, and diabetes are diseases that arise because of the incomplete digestion of food. Papain is not always able to prevent.However, at least to minimize the negative effects. Clearly, the papain enzymes can help bring better digestion of food, "continued Dr Diana.
Papaya can also speed up the digestion of carbohydrates and fats. The papain enzyme can break down the fibers of meat until the meat easier to digest. Not surprisingly to make meat becomes more tender, papaya is often used as ingredients of meat. Its antiseptic content to keep the digestive organ, especially the colon, from the bacteria.
Preventing Heart Disease

Papaya fruit can help prevent the oxidation of cholesterol in the liver. High cholesterol can cause heart attacks and strokes. And
it can be prevented by regularly consume papaya.
Papaya is also rich in fiber which can help lower cholesterol levels in the liver. Folic acid is found in papaya to eliminate harmful substances that can damage blood vessel walls that ultimately lead to heart attacks.
Papaya fruit contains vitamin A and vitamin B which are needed to boost the immune system. In addition to the enzyme papain, papaya also contain chymopapain enzymes which can reduce inflammation to help the body in healing burns and other injuries.
Benefits of papaya which more important is the prevention of colon cancer. This is because the number of fiber content. These fibers are very useful for those who had constipation. Vitamin A is found in papaya fruit, it is very useful for people who have weak lungs.
Prevent Cancer

In the papaya fruit
, more than 50 Ammonites acid contained in papaya latex, among others, aspartic acid, treonin, serine, glutamic acid, proline, glycine, alanine, valine, isoleucine, leucine, tyrosine, phenylalanine, histidine, lysin, arginine, tritophan, and cysteine. " They are good for the skin, strengthens skin cell tissue to be more elastic (an early anti-aging), and keep your teeth from plaque," explains Dr Diana.
Besides beneficial to the skin, still according to dr. Diana, papaya can be used to treat vaginal discharge, fever due to childbirth, menstrual launch, and launch the mother's milk. And most importantly, to prevent the growth of breast cancer cells. Why?
Papain enzyme can break down protein into arginine. Arginine compound is one of the essential amino acid in normal conditions can not be produced by the body and is commonly found in foods like eggs and yeast. But when the enzyme papain involved in process of digestion of proteins, naturally some proteins can be converted to arginine with papain, will also affect the production of human growth hormone, "
